I guess many have heard about the earthquake that just hit Szechuan in China. It was 7.8
Richter scale and many people have died and hundreds are hurt...the numbers are on the
rise...terrible...firstthere's the cyclone in Myanmar and now the earthquake in China. The
tv is showing the rescue efforts day and night. its so depressing. it's just so sad to see
them pull up one body after another. not to mention, a lot of them are kids. i feel so bad.
Saw from wikipedia that so far 76 stronger aftershocks and over 1000 weaker aftershocks.

I just came across a website with many different real life stories of students at Sze Chuan after
surviving the earthquake and how much help they are given.

these 3 days, the whole of china will be going through a period of mourning. flag at half mast etc.
Also, at 2.28pm (the time of the earthquake), china will come to a stand still. no matter where you
are, you’re supposed to stand up for 3 mins of silence. vehicles are supposed to stop and sound t
heir horns for the same 3 mins.

hope that they can really get back on track and minimise the death figures

the website that I've just mention above. You guys can have a look.
